Rechargeable Batteries |
The rechargeable batteries are electrochemical elements that generate electrical energy as a result of internal chemical reactions. The chemical reactions that occur inside a rechargeable battery are reversible, allowing them to be recharged again and again.
The rechargeables can be classified according to their chemical composition as follows:
Alkaline rechargeables: the electrolyte is an alkaline solution.
NiCad
Ni-MH
Li-Ion
Ni-Fe aso
Acid rechargeables: the electrolyte is an acid solution.
Lead acid rechargeables
